Tributes Paid to Amazing Mum-of-Three Found Dead in Oldham Reservoir

Oldham, Greater Manchester – Heartfelt tributes have been paid to an 'amazing' mother-of-three who was tragically found dead in a reservoir near Oldham following a major search operation.

Kimberley 'Kim' Johnson, 33, was recovered from the water at Strinesdale Reservoir on the evening of Sunday, August 17th.

Emergency services were scrambled to the beauty spot, situated on the A62 between Oldham and Delph, at around 4 PM following reports that a woman had got into difficulty in the water.

A large-scale rescue operation was immediately launched, with the area around Waterworks Road sealed off to the public. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service's specialist water incident unit was dispatched to the scene to assist in the search efforts.

Sadly, a body was recovered from the water at approximately 6:25 PM.

A spokesperson for Rochdale Coroners' Court has since confirmed the woman was formally identified as 33-year-old Kim Johnson, from Oldham.

Paying an emotional tribute, her close friend Tanya Kennedy described Kim as a devoted mother and a wonderful friend.
