Tragic Loss: Two Teenagers Die After Car Crashes into Tree in Hampshire

Corhampton, Hampshire – Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, have tragically died after the car they were travelling in left the road and collided with a tree in Corhampton, Hampshire, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The wrecked grey Hyundai i20 was discovered by a passer-by shortly after 2:45 AM. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their best efforts, both teenagers were pronounced dead.

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that the 17-year-old boy was from Eastleigh, while the 16-year-old was from the village of Denmead, near Portsmouth. Their families have been informed of the devastating news and are receiving support from specialist officers.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local communities. Floral tributes have already been laid at the crash site as a spontaneous mark of respect. Winchester City Councillor Danny Lee extended his condolences, stating, "My thoughts are with the families at the moment".

A pathologist is scheduled to carry out post-mortem examinations to help provide evidence. The Mid-Hampshire coroner will open and adjourn an inquest into their deaths later this week, a standard procedure for sudden fatalities.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has information, or relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Those who can provide information are asked to contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 44250311184.
